Role Overview

As a Video Editor at Videoschool Media, you will work closely with creators, producers, and content teams to edit YouTube videos that are informative, engaging, and optimized for audience retention. You will be responsible for turning raw footage into polished final videos that meet channel standards and publishing schedules.

  • Edit long-form YouTube videos across different niches and adapt content for Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other short-form platforms

  • Create Shorts and short-form clips from long videos

  • Work with producers to understand briefs and deadlines

  • Ensure consistency in style, pacing, and quality

Who Should Apply

This role is suitable for a wide range of video editors. We care more about editing fundamentals, consistency, and willingness to learn than about years of experience alone.

  • Editors with basic to advanced proficiency in tools like Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro

  • Editors who understand pacing, storytelling, and viewer attention

  • People comfortable working on feedback and revisions

  • Editors who want to work in a fast-paced, content-driven environment

Experience Levels

We hire video editors across multiple experience bands. Your responsibilities and expectations will be aligned with your skill level.

  • Early-career editors: Strong fundamentals, eagerness to learn, and ability to follow clear briefs

  • Mid-level editors: Comfortable handling videos end-to-end with minimal supervision

  • Senior editors: Ability to manage complex edits, improve workflows, and mentor others

Location & Work Model

This is primarily an office-based role in India. Openings are currently in Pune and Mumbai.
